Located between Montpellier and Perpignan, at the foot of the Clape massif, in the Narbonnaise Mediterranean Regional Natural Park, Narbonne-Plage is a dynamic and sporty seaside resort.

With the European Blue Flag label, it offers a magnificent five-kilometre beach of fine sand as well as numerous leisure activities for enthusiasts: sailing, beach volleyball, jet skiing, sand yachting, kitesurfing, catamaran sailing, rowing, sea kayaking and beautiful "nature" walks, bike rides and quad biking in the Clape massif.

In season it is very lively: night markets, outdoor shows and traditional festivals enliven the resort.

But Narbonne-Plage is also a district of the city of Art and History of Narbonne, located 15 km to the east. The former capital of Narbonne Gaul, residence of the Visigoth kings and archiepiscopal city is over 2,500 years old and has a rich heritage.

In the heart of its historic centre, two buildings, classified as "Historic Monuments", are worth a visit: the Saint-Just-et-Saint-Pasteur cathedral and the Archbishops' palace, home to the town hall and the art and archaeological museum. From the upper terrace of its 13th and 14th century keep, you can admire a panoramic view of Narbonne, the coastline, the Corbières and the Pyrenees!

Crossed by the Canal de la Robine, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, Narbonne also offers the opportunity for charming electric boat trips.

A more bucolic approach that can be concluded with a coffee break on one of the pleasant, lively terraces of the town hall square.

By staying a few days in Narbonne-Plage, you are in the heart of the Languedoc, between Cabardès and the Mediterranean coast, in the Aude.
